Ketanji Brown Jackson Grants Trump Massive Victory

In a significant victory for President Donald Trump, the U.S. Supreme Court has granted the federal government’s emergency appeal against a lower court’s ruling that had required the administration to continue funding SNAP payments during the government shutdown.

The Trump administration was previously ordered by a judge to fully fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program by Nov. 6.

Given that the government remains shut down, the administration asked an appeals court to suspend the judge’s ruling and instead allow it to fund the program in sections throughout the month.

Despite the government’s plea, the Boston appeals court did not intervene in the matter, according to the Daily Mail.

As a result, the Trump administration turned to the High Court to take up its request.

In a massive surprise to conservatives across the country, Biden-appointed Supreme Court Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson ordered the court’s initial ruling to be paused until the appeals court decides on the matter.

On X, conservatives reacted to Jackson’s order in total shock.

“Wow. Liberal Supreme Court justice Ketanji Brown Jackson JUST sided with Trump to BLOCK full funding of food stamps!! This guy can negotiate,” one user said.

Like conservatives, liberals were surprised at Jackson’s ruling, considering that they view the young justice as an ally of their causes.

In fact, Jackson was rebuked by her fellow leftists, who accused her of leaving millions of Americans starving.

“This woman is letting 42 million people starve to death. The cruelty is incomprehensible. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson halted a court order that would have required the Trump administration to fund food stamps in full,” a user with the name PNW Conservative wrote.

Jackson’s ruling comes days after Trump eviscerated Democrats for their unwillingness to negotiate in ending the ongoing government shutdown. The president said he would not provide SNAP benefits until Democrats reached the negotiating table, Resist the Mainstream previously reported.

“SNAP BENEFITS, which increased by Billions and Billions of Dollars (MANY FOLD!) during Crooked Joe Biden’s disastrous term in office…will be given only when the Radical Left Democrats open up government, which they can easily do, and not before!” Trump said on Truth Social.

As of 2024, approximately 13% of the U.S. population relied on SNAP, which equates to about 41 million people. Foreign nationals residing in the country account for approximately 4% of the program’s recipients.

SNAP was established in 1964 as part of the Food Stamp Act, which was signed into law by then-President Lyndon B. Johnson.
